Dr. Tempestt Adams

Dr. Tempestt R. Adams is an associate professor of career and technical education. She has over a decade of teaching experience spanning middle school, high school, community college, and university levels.

Her research areas focus on urban education, teacher preparation, arts-based methods, college and career readiness, and career and technical education. She is a member of the North Carolina Association for Research in Education (NCARE).

In 2020, Dr. Adams received the college's Outstanding Teaching Award, and in 2022, as part of the Creativity Collaborative, she received the college's Community of Practice award
