Angela Brown

Angela Brown received her B.S. in accounting and business education from Virginia Tech, and in her later years, her M.A. in educational media/instructional technology: new media and global education from Appalachian State University. Over the years, she taught students of all ages, from preschool, kindergarten, middle school, high school, community college, and now university students.

Angela has worked in higher education since 2009, teaching workforce education. She feels blessed to be a part of the App State family as a senior lecturer for the Department of Media, Career Studies & Leadership Development and career and technical education program within the Reich College of Education. She has a passion for financial literacy and career development. She enjoys working with students and teaching using holistic methods to help students develop life-long financial & career development skills to help them now and in the future, personally and professionally. Angela currently serves as the course coordinator for the personal money management courses and maintains her NCDA Facilitating Career Development certification and VA CTE & Pk-3 teaching license.

During her free time, she enjoys working within the community, gardening, reading, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
