Corie Haylett

Corie Haylett has been at App State since 2013 and is lead faculty mentor for the business Communications course in the College of Education. She also teaches the workforce venture and innovation course and has taught a variety of communication and management courses prior to joining App State. 

Professionally, she was self-employed as a promotional marketing manager and served as managing paralegal for a small law firm in Ohio for many years.   

Her education includes the completion of an Ed.D. program in educational leadership and management at St. Thomas University (ABD), and she earned a master's degree in communications from Northwestern University, a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland, and an associate's degree in paralegal administration from the University of Toledo. Corie is also a Stanford University certified project manager.    

On a more personal level, she has lived in Boone for the past 15 years, is married with two children, and she is a huge animal lover. Her hobbies include traveling, boating, watching movies with her family, and spending time with her dogs.
