Dr. Jason LaFrance

Dr. Jason A. LaFrance brings a wealth of experiences in K-20 settings to support educational organizations to achieve measurable outcomes. Having previously served as the Director of the Center for Educational Leadership and Service at Georgia Southern University and an Associate Professor at Florida Southern College he has worked extensively with school leaders across the United States. He is passionate about combining strategic planning with technology to create effective environments for students to learn and implementing cybersecurity awareness training to help secure school assets.

An active participant in public forums, Dr. LaFrance has spoken on school leadership and technology at major international, national, and regional conferences in the United States including those sponsored by the University Council on Educational Administration, National Council of Professors of Educational Administration, and the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (INACOL) Blended and Online Learning Symposium. He is also widely published in education journals such as Educational Administration Quarterly, the Educational Leadership Review, the International Journal of Educational Leadership Preparation and ISTE’s Learning and Leading with Technology.

Before joining the faculty at App State, Dr. LaFrance served as a teacher and administrator in elementary and middle schools in Florida. In 2006 he was a member of an administrative team that built a K-6 Title I school that was recognized nationally as an Apple Distinguished School and statewide as a Positive Behavior Support Model School.
