Dr. Dominick Manusos

Dr. Dominick Manusos completed his B.S. in technology, engineering, and design education from North Carolina State University in 2013. He received his M.S. in appropriate technology from Appalachian State University in 2015. He completed his Doctor of Education in technology education from North Carolina State University in 2021.

His research interests include scaling down traditional lab-based hands-on projects so they can be implemented in modern classrooms that seem to be shrinking in space and budget. He hopes that by offering more affordable alternatives, teachers can continue to provide activities that engage students and foster their creativity without being so heavily reliant on classroom/laboratory square footage and an extensive budget.

He also enjoys working with professionals in industry to help identify current skills and industry needs that can be reflected in the teaching practices of modernized curricula.

Since 2018, Manusos has found ways to work with, and support, undergraduate students and their applied research efforts. From learning new skills, to implementing new technology into old practices, or developing small-scale equipment to supplement modern curricula in a shrinking lab space.
