Dr. Precious Mudiwa

Dr. Precious Mudiwa's area of specialization is higher education administration. Her primary scholarship focuses on leadership development with special emphasis on women. She is drawn to gender equity issues and how they relate to governance, access, and social justice. She is also interested in investigating the unique experiences of women in academia and documenting their progress towards equity and equality in the higher education landscape in general, and particularly, in the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

She serves as the director of the Women in Educational Leadership Symposium (WIELS).

Her professional associations include the Oxford Round Table, Educational Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP), Women in Higher Education Conference, and the International Society for Exploring Teaching and Learning (ISETL). I am also the current co-chair of the International Faculty at Appalachian State University. She is always open and happy to be invited to schools to talk about her Zimbabwean culture.

Dr. Mudiwa received her Ed.D. from Idaho State University.
